During production this semester, students at both site have learned about the  stop -motion animation technique called pixilation. The Wikipedia definition sums up this simple technique well:

Pixilation (from pixilated) is a stop motion technique where live actors are used as a frame-by-frame subject in an animated film, by repeatedly posing while one or more frame is taken and changing pose slightly before the next frame or frames.

While pixilation is a straight forward technique, it takes an enormous amount of patience from the photographer as well as the actors to ensure success. Students created an array of small pixilations for your enjoyment, we hope they inspire you to grab a camera and make your own.
