Summer Programs

This summer, Wide Angle Youth Media had two Youth Speak Out (YSO) STEAM summer programs and will wrap up the summer with a handful of one-day library workshops.

Participants in the one-day summer library workshops will gain an introduction to digital photography through portraiture and documentary exercises. Programs are free and include pizza lunch, access to digital cameras, and fun media activities.

The YSO Co-ed STEM and Introduction to Media program runs July 11 – 15 at the Wide Angle Youth Media offices. Program runs 9:30 am – 5:00 pm and includes free breakfast and lunch. Students age 10-14 will learn media literacy, team building, public speaking, community service, and digital media skills to make projects about cyber security for their peers. THIS WORKSHOP HAS ENDED. SUMMER 2017 APPLICATIONS WILL BE AVAILABLE IN LATE SPRING OF 2017.

The YSO GIRLS STEM and Robotics program runs July 18 – 29 at the Wide Angle Youth Media offices. Girls age 10-14 will learn robotics, introduction to video, media literacy, team building, public speaking, and digital media skills to make films the feature a robot they have built! Program runs 9:30 am – 5:00 pm and includes free breakfast and lunch. THIS WORKSHOP HAS ENDED. SUMMER 2017 APPLICATIONS WILL BE AVAILABLE IN LATE SPRING OF 2017.
