HEALING CITY NEIGHBORS ONE DESIGN AT A TIME

This spring Wide Angle’s Design Studio had the pleasure of working with Healing City Baltimore and Baltimore Neighbors Network. Healing City Baltimore strives to bring communities together via discourse, urging people to embrace their neighbors regardless of their differences. One of their initiatives is Baltimore Neighbors Network, which was created during COVID to connect senior Baltimore residents to resources and community.

Working on the Baltimore Neighbors Network (BNN) and Healing City Baltimore (HCB) initiatives was a lot of fun because we were both so eager! We were given the duty of developing testimonial templates, social media postings, and infographics for the organization. We also designed social media and testimonial postings for this project.

Designing with the team was a breeze once we examined the project's elements and where we wanted it to go. Throughout the pandemic, which is when we got this project, a lot of people were worried about their loved ones, especially the elderly, and this project with BNN really stressed how essential it is for us to stay in touch with our loved ones and show them love during difficult times.

In today’s stressful climate, these two organizations offer support to the community. Their dedication taught us that we’re in this together, so we should do our best to move forward together. We hope that the graphics we made for BNN/Healing City will elicit a strong sense of community and optimism for not only Baltimore as a whole, but for every city that feels invisible.
