COVID-19 Safety

Visitor Mask & Vaccine Policy Update (9/19/2022)

We are looking forward to having you back in our office with us!

All visitors entering our office are required to wear a mask covering the mouth and nose. We are currently requiring all visitors (anyone who is not a staff member or student) over the age of 18 staying in our office for more than fifteen minutes to wear a mask, sign into the visitor log (for contact tracing purposes), and present proof of vaccination.

Vaccination Status:
Visitors may enter our building without showing proof of vaccination (if they are visiting for less than 15 minutes). All guests over the age of 18 entering the Wide Angle offices for meetings, site visits, screenings, workshops, productions, or other gatherings are required to be vaccinated against Covid-19. View our full vaccination policy here. We ask that you bring a copy of your vaccination card or a photo of your card as proof of vaccination status. (Note: Student participants and their parents will review and sign the Social Agreement/Assumption of Risk as part of participation in on-site programs).

Masks:
Masks are required in our office, unless guests are actively consuming a beverage or eating food.

Food/Drink:
Other than snacks provided for WAYM program participants, that may be eaten in the office or lunch room as long as students are socially distanced, student participants will not be permitted to eat in the WAYM offices or at production sites.

Spacing:
The number of people (staff, students and other guests) in Wide Angle’s offices is capped at 8 per Media Lab and 6 in the shared open office work space.

Why is this our policy?

The first reason is for the safety of our students! We cannot ask for the vaccination history of nor require our students attending programming at our Wide Angle office to be vaccinated. By requiring that of our adult guests and staff, we are reducing the risk of exposure to them.

The second reason is to protect our staff. While we do have a vaccination or medical/religious waiver requirement of our team, we do not know the medical histories of our staff members and therefore do not know if anyone is medically high risk. This policy helps us reduce the possibility of harm here too.

Lastly, to protect you! We value you as a stakeholder in the mission of Wide Angle and want to ensure you are not exposed to COVID while in our office. This policy helps us protect you and all of our other guests coming to visit us.
