Moving Image

Teacher: Maceo Lester

Spring semester, Mon/Wed, 4-5:30 pm EST

Explore all aspects of creating video content ranging from interviews, monologues, music videos, films, and much more! Learn the fundamentals of video production (including the basics of DSLR cameras, lighting, and audio and video editing skills), understand how composition impacts an image, and participate in peer critiques to grow as an artist and strengthen your work.

Virtual Platforms: Zoom, Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Slides, WeVideo, Email, Eduflow

About Mace: I chose to work at Wide Angle Youth Media because I didn't have programs like Wide Angle that introduced me to media creation at a young age. I didn't discover my passion for video production and storytelling until I was a senior in high school. Finding my calling, empowered me, it gave me purpose and a career path. Most importantly, it made me realize that I can share my voice through visual art and express myself, ultimately making an impact on and influencing others. I hope my students are introduced to new skills and that I'm able to equip them with creative tools to help them communicate their artistic voice.
